Early Consumer 2
by Ana Carrete

At some point I got
what I thought was a really cool jean jacket.

The pockets were different than all the other jean jackets I’d ever seen. The pockets
were like the ones that jeans have in the front.

A classmate said she liked it, asked me what brand it was, and said she was going to
copy me.

The jean jacket turned into a symbol of conditional acceptance. If the design and the
brand were recognizable
I became worthy of attention.

A material upgrade that allowed us to relate.
